Notes on an open film

No single author.

What happens when you give the internet a camera, a shared timeline, and absolutely no script?

A time capsule with no single author.

86,400 Frames is an experiment in making something together. One hour of film, built in public, from the things people choose to leave behind. A familiar face. A strange animation. The view from a bedroom window. A single frame of a favourite colour.

There is no predetermined story. Every contribution changes what comes next. The only thing we know about the finished film is that none of us could have made it alone.

First come. Next frame.

Choose how many frames you want and you’ll be assigned the next available block in the timeline. Then contribute video or imagery for that little stretch of the film. At 24 frames per second, even a moment has room to mean something.

Pricing will start small and increase at predefined milestones as the film grows. The prices and progress shown in this preview are illustrative; the final schedule will be available before purchases open.

The making is part of the work.

The complete, evolving film will live here. Along the way, daily clips on TikTok, Reels, and Shorts will share new additions, unexpected connections, and the people behind them. Each contribution becomes part of the film and part of the story of how it came to be.

A little piece of this moment.

When the final frame is filled, we’ll have a one-hour record of strangers making something together. The ambition is to preserve it as a cultural artifact and explore ways to screen, distribute, and sustain the work.

It doesn’t need to be perfect. It just needs to have a little of you in it.
